Palo Santo or sacred wood is a 100% natural aromatic wood, rich in resin and with a wonderful sweet scent, used for centuries to cleanse rooms, for meditation, spiritual ceremonies, against insects and to remove bad energy.  The incense is carefully stored in aesthetically pleasing packaging, which helps to preserve freshness and can also serve as a nice gift.

  • Palo Santo, or Sacred Wood, is a natural incense from South America that has been used in shamanic ceremonies for thousands of years.
  • The wood is the ‘dead’ part of the tree, which after 10 years acquires its characteristic aroma.
  • The rich resin produces a pleasant, sweet-smelling smoke when lit.
  • Unlike other traditional incense sticks, which burn out completely, the Palo Santo stick can be lit several times.
  • The pleasant scent of one stick scents the whole room and creates a pleasant atmosphere.
  • The fragrance is suitable for relaxation, but it can also be used to counter odours and to clean a room.

Palo Santo

Care

For safe incense lighting, follow these steps:

  • Choose an appropriate holder. Always light incense on a fireproof surface, such as a ceramic or metal dish, an incense burner, or a stand. You can also hold it in your hand.
  • Light the end of the incense with a match or by holding it over a candle. Let the flame burn for a few seconds, then gently wave it in the air to leave only a glowing ember.
  • Place the incense in the holder and make sure it is stable, or hold it securely in your hand.
  • Light incense in a well-ventilated area and never leave it unattended.
  • After use, extinguish the incense completely by pressing it into sand, soil, or a fireproof dish until it stops smoldering.
